HOW TO
CUT A
SWEET POTATO

There are a variety of ways to cut your sweet potatoes, all depending on how they will be used! All Bako Sweet® bagged sweet potatoes are triple-washed, which means less time spent prepping and more time embracing sweet potato-centered creativity in the kitchen.

Before diving into the cutting process, decide whether or not you want to peel your sweet potato. The skin on sweet potatoes is edible and not always noticeable in recipes. We recommend leaving the skin on to get the most nutritional value, but a vegetable peeler can easily be used to remove the skin if desired. Next, make sure you have a sharp knife handy, and select your cut of choice. Here are a few different ways that you can cut sweet potatoes to incorporate them into virtually any recipe!

PRO TIP:
Prior to use, store your sweet potatoes in a cool, dry place such as the pantry instead of storing them in the refrigerator.

Everyone’s favorite fry to order, and for good reason!

  1. Choose a medium-sized sharp knife and cut each sweet potato in half lengthwise.

  2. Lay each half flat on the cutting board and cut them into stick shapes.
